BIM-Spoon

BIM-Spoon is a utility that enables online application programs running under CICS/VSE to generate print reports.

The reports can be printed:

On a batch system printer accessing VSE/POWER
Directly to a terminal printer when CSI’s BIMP3270 product is also used
On a terminal printer accessing VSE/POWER’s queue by using CSI’s BIM-Spool report-delivery product

The user program passes the print lines to BIM-Spoon with control and routing information, and BIM-Spoon passes them in an appropriate format to VSE/POWER or BIM-P3270. A logical printer scheduling mechanism permits online tasks to generate reports concurrently and to generate multiple reports.
