BIM-Submit is a utility that allows users to submit VSE job streams to VSE/POWER’s reader queue from a terminal connected to CICS.

When a user enters data on a BIM-Submit screen, BIMSubmit uses a VSAM file to store the screen images.

Each screen line is defined as a separate field, permitting users to enter up to 21 free-form job control and datacard images. Users can retrieve screen records, update them on the terminal, and save them permanently in a disk file. Users can also update the records temporarily and submit them to VSE/POWER.

In addition, BIM-Submit provides two subprograms that a CICS command-level user program can call to submit job streams directly to VSE/POWER. The user programs can be written in any language that maintains standard linkage conventions.
